In-depth underwater inspection, fathometer survey/scour assessment, structural evaluation, and repair design/scour remediation of the Betsy Ross Bridge Pier E2 Pile Cap, with development of subsequent bid documents. Ten (10) concrete 4-in. diameter core samples averaging 5-ft. in length were taken from the pile cap and subsequently laboratory tested to assess the structural integrity of the concrete.
Construction Management and Resident Engineering services during construction phase rehabilitation repairs to the Pier E2 Cap on the Betsy Ross Bridge. The underwater placement of steel sheeting, reinforcement, concrete, and rip-rap by the marine contracting firm of Spearin, Preston & Burrows, Inc., was monitored by Boswell divers to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
