Expert professional services for Performance of Condition Surveys of Waterfront Facilities on a Call-In Basis for the Quality Assurance Division of the Port Authority of NY & NJ, Boswell Underwater Engineering (BUE) conducted a cyclical condition survey of the odd and even numbered Berths 3 thru 25 and 2 thru 36 at the NJ Marine Terminal, Port Newark. The purpose of the survey was to determine the overall condition of the structural elements, identify any structural and non-structural deficiencies which would present a potential safety hazard, and to develop recommendations for correcting the deficiencies. During the previous year, BUE also performed a visual inspection of 20% of all structural elements at the same shipping berths.
