New Jersey Turnpike Authority

Boswell Engineering was selected for the design of Section 2 of the proposed Route 92, a new east-west arterial highway, which will connect Interchange 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike in Monroe Township with Route 1 in South Brunswick for a total length of 6.7 miles. The length of the mainline roadway in Section 2 is approximately 3.7 miles. This section also includes four (4) bridges, the crossing of an existing utility right-of-way and the design of a toll plaza and toll utility building. This project also includes approximately two (2) miles of retaining walls incorporated specifically to reduce environment impacts.

Superstructure members of the new bridges will be comprised of unpainted weathering structural steel (ASTM A588) or prestressed concrete (AASHTO girders or box beams).
