Boswell Engineering provided the survey, design and construction inspection
services for the Phase I & II reconstruction of River Road in Edgewater, NJ.
This project consisted of widening and realigning a 2.5 mile section of the
existing roadway from two lanes to five lanes along the Hudson River from the
intersection of County Route 5 south to the Hudson County border.
The major design elements consisted of horizontal and vertical geometry, new
drainage systems, installation of six new traffic signals, intersection
improvements, extensive utility relocation and two municipal parking lots. This
project required extensive public outreach and community coordination.
