Project: Hutchinson River Parkway

Construction inspection services for the full reconstruction and realignment of 5.7 kilometers on the Hutchinson River Parkway (HRP) between I-287 and the Connecticut state line. Work on this A&B type bid project also includes superpave asphalt concrete; crack and seat existing concrete pavement with asphalt overlay; stone masonry retaining wall construction; soil nail wall construction; precast T wall construction; precast concrete noise barrier wall construction; extension/replacement of six large precast concrete culverts; utility work; traffic signals; wetland mitigation; widening of three existing reinforced concrete arch bridges to provide additional lanes; and, replacement of the existing North Ridge Street Bridge over the HRP with a new reinforced concrete arch bridge while maintaining traffic on a temporary bridge during the construction; seismic retrofit of the southbound HRP bridge over I-684; concrete deck replacement of the NB HRP at the Cross County Parkway; and major drainage improvements. This project requires staged construction and extensive MPT in order to maintain traffic on this heavily traveled and congested corridor.
